Officials from the Public Health Crimes Investigations Division apprehended three citizens in the parish of Petare, Miranda state, after determining that they were practicing dentistry illegally, without being accredited or having adequate spaces.

The detainees were identified as: Luis Mendoza (76 years old), Luisa Dayana Mendoza Fariñez (46 years old) and Yojama Del Valle Uti (38 years old), said the Director General of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), Douglas Rico, through a post on his Instagram account.

After extensive field research, officials were able to verify that those involved offered specialized services, such as periodontal treatments and molar extractions under anesthesia, procedures that are the exclusive competence of duly accredited maxillofacial surgeons.

Those arrested lacked professional qualifications and operated without health records and in a physical space with deplorable without hygienic conditions, representing a source of infection and a serious danger to the integrity of patients.

The case has been brought to the order of the Public Prosecutor's Office for legal due process.
