Members of the Scientific, Criminal and
Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) were able to clarify the murder of Yofre
Alberto Rodríguez Solórzano, which occurred on the Guatire-Guarenas National Highway, on January 16.
According to information published by Douglas Rico, director general of this
Police Force, “commissions of the Coordination of Investigations of
Crimes Against Persons of the Guarenas Municipal Delegation carried out
extensive fieldwork, managing to arrest two of the perpetrators.”
Rico explained that the victim was subdued by “Randy José Martin Monsalve (19) and a cousin named Gabriel, yet to be arrested; who detected that Yofre had entered his auto repair shop, opting to give him a heavy beating; after that, Randy called his father, Randy José Martin Gámez (41), to whom he informed him what had happened, who appeared carrying a firearm and shot Yofre several times.”
