Officials from the Western Homicide Investigations Coordination, the Criminal and Criminal Scientific Investigations Corps (CICPC) arrested Johander Jesús Bermúdez Nava (19), in Propatria, Sucre parish, Libertador municipality, Caracas, after causing the death of his 4-year-old stepdaughter, Madelyne Carolina Urdaneta Morán, on January 23, in the El Mirador sector.

According to information published by the director of this police force, Douglas Rico, he pointed out that after the investigative work carried out, it became known that on the day of the incident, the commissions were alerted to an episode of domestic violence in the address in question, coming to the place, finding Madelyne's mother, presenting injuries to her hands, because she had been gagged by Johander, while he was severely beating the girl; when looking for the little girl, this was Johander, who was found dead, had also fled the place.

In this regard, it became known that after carrying out a thorough fieldwork and a tour of the different communities, their location and arrest were achieved.
