CICPC dismantled criminal gang dedicated to robbery in several states

Members of the Criminal and Criminal Scientific Investigations Corps (CICPC) were able to dismantle a criminal group dedicated to the theft of homes and businesses in several states of the country.

According to information issued by the director general of this police force, Douglas Rico, who explained that after extensive fieldwork carried out by officials of the Robbery Investigations Division, members of a hamponil gang that carried out this crime were located and arrested and fled to various national entities with the intention of evading commissions.

He added that this hamponil group spent several days studying the commercial establishments in the entity where they would operate, and then subject the victims to death threats, robbing them of large amounts of money derived from their commercial activities.

The criminals were located in the Libertador municipality, Caracas, where two motor vehicles were also found in which they were traveling, two revolver-type firearms, with six ammunition, a bag, containing different tools and utensils to open or violate locks in homes and commercial establishments.
