CICPC officials seized 383 marijuana pots in Lara

Members of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) managed to seize 213 kilos and 820 grams of marijuana in Lara state.

According to information issued by the Ministry of Popular Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP), the procedure occurred during a public security deployment carried out in the Torres municipality, specifically in Troncal 17, sector El Tablón.

In this regard, it became known that “after analysis work that made it possible to identify this stretch as a critical point of possible transit for Structured Organized Crime Groups (GEDO). Thanks to this preventive monitoring, officials detected a vehicle that was trying to evade the main controls driving on an alternate route (trocha).”

The uniformed personnel explained that due to the geographical conditions of the terrain, the men managed to evade the authorities, leaving the vehicle abandoned; where 383 pots of Cannabis Sativa (Marijuana) were found, “distributed in seven synthetic packages, together with a mobile device with foreign telephony; as well as documents and personal objects that allow the full identification of the investigated citizen, who already has an active search warrant.”
