CICPC promotes preventive actions to prevent cryptocurrency fraud

The head of the Computer Expertise Division of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), Pascual González, urged the general public to maintain the greatest possible caution when making investments in cryptocurrency.

The Chief Commissioner explained that through blockchain technology, financial transactions with cryptocurrencies can be carried out in a controlled and verifiable manner, according to Prensa MPPRIJP.

He emphasized that it is important to verify information to avoid falling into the hands of those criminal organizations that generally carry out fraudulent financial operations without support, under the deceptive offer of offering quick and easy wealth.

“They need to understand that they must first educate themselves; the best weapon today in all of this is education,” González insisted.

For her part, the Secretary General of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps, Mercy Bracho, urged the population to refrain from carrying out financial transactions with cryptocurrency if they do not have the necessary knowledge to carry out such transactions, in order to prevent the execution of punishable acts in relation to this type of stock exchange.
