CICPC rescued three women victims of a human trafficking network

Members of the Investigative, Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Corps (CICPC) managed to rescue three young victims of a human trafficking network in El Paraíso.

The information was released by the general director of this body, Douglas Rico, who explained that thanks to intelligence work and field investigations, it was possible to find and rescue three young people aged 14 and 17, “in the premises of a hotel located in the parish of El Paraíso, Libertador municipality, Caracas”.

and, having arrested the man who was transporting them, he

also pointed out that “the young women had been captured through social networks, offering them jobs as household helpers on the island of Trinidad and Tobago; however, they had to make a journey first from Caracas to Maturin and wait for further instructions”.

For this reason, Byron Guillermo Álvarez Navas, who was responsible for the transfer of the victims, was arrested.
