The National Cinematheque of Venezuela celebrates its 60th anniversary with the start of a film series that begins with the screening of the documentary Reverón (1952), the work of renowned Venezuelan filmmaker Margot Benacerraf.

The activity will take place this Wednesday, May 6 at 2:00 in the afternoon in the MBA Room, located in Fine Arts, and will include a film forum dedicated to the author's work and legacy.

The film, considered a fundamental piece of Latin American documentary cinema, portrays the life and work of the painter Armando Reverón, through a poetic perspective on creativity and artistic sensitivity.

The National Cinemateca, founded on May 4, 1966 by Benacerraf, commemorates six decades of work dedicated to the preservation, dissemination and promotion of Venezuelan and international cinema, consolidating itself as one of the country's main cultural institutions.
