Cinemateca Nacional will hold a conversation on intellectual property

The National Cinemateca will hold this Thursday, September 3, the discussion “If you have the rights you are done: Intellectual Property for Audiovisual Content Producers”, as part of the academic agenda of the third edition of Short Encuentro: Student Cinema and the activities for its 60th anniversary.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, the activity will be carried out by the lawyer specializing in copyright and audiovisual law, Priscila Guía, and will begin at 10:00 in the morning at the Sala Cinemateca MBA.

The meeting will address aspects related to the protection of audiovisual projects from the development of the script to its distribution. In addition, during the day, it will also be explained what elements must be protected, how to register a work and what are the limits for using third-party materials, topics aimed at students, independent creators and participants of EEC 2026.

Guía has more than 15 years of experience in the legal protection of the Venezuelan film and cultural industry. She has also served as a strategic consultant in Intellectual Property for the Autonomous Intellectual Property Service (SAPI) and as legal advisor for various audiovisual productions.

The discussion will be free to enter and will be open to the public interested in learning about the legal aspects related to audiovisual creation and production.
