The State Directorate of Civil Protection and Disaster Management has been activated to address the damages that occurred in the state of Trujillo as a result of the rains that have fallen in the last 48 hours.

According to reports from this institution released by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), officials were deployed in the Rafael Rangel municipality, specifically on the Sabana de Mendoza-Betijoque highway to control motor traffic.

The action is due to the fact that sediments were carried away on this road axis, putting the passage of vehicles at risk.

Meanwhile, the State Government activated machinery to proceed with the clearing of the aforementioned road.

For its part, the Civil Protection team from the Valera municipality took a route along the road to El Cumbe, in the Juan Ignacio Montilla parish, where landslides occurred that also affect vehicle traffic.

On this road, the municipal Public Services team was activated with tasks of clearing and removing debris.
