This Sunday, the National Electoral Council (CNE) audited the pre-office of the voting machines for the comprehensive elections on May 25,

The process, where 569 public officials will be elected, has completed a 60% execution of the auditing phase.

The day of May 18 was chaired by the main rectors of the CNE, Carlos Quintero, Rosalba Gil and Aimé Nogal.

“The impressions we have from technicians and organizations for political purposes is that this is undoubtedly an audit that allows them to verify what we have called the chain of trust. They validate that the machines that have already been released to the 24 states were configured with the software and data that they previously audited,” said Quintero.

Quintero also informed the Venezuelan people that for this Sunday, 85% of the electoral schedule has been advanced. In addition, 100% of the electoral material and 100% of the voting machines have already been deployed. He also highlighted that more than 15,036 polling stations and at least 700,000 voting stations have been set up for this election.
