Guillermo Cobo won three gold medals at the WAKO Kickboxing World Cup, which runs until May 17 in the city of Antalya, Turkey.

The team's efforts were transformed into the harvest of three gold medals, one silver and two bronze medals, placing Venezuela on the elite of the international podium, during the first two days of the event.

On the second day of competition, Cobo won the bronze medal in the -63.5 kg youth division of point combat, sharing the third step of the podium with the German Raffael Balzer.

The gold medal went to the Hungarian Petro Balind, while the silver went to the local Cicek Ahmet Kerem.

Triple gold

However, it was on the first day that Cobo showed his best level to win the first gold medal in the category of creative youth weapons, beating the Turkish Cakmak Sinan, who had to settle for silver.

Cobo didn't stop there and repeated his success in a creative youth form, where he once again beat the same Turkish rival to win his second gold medal of the day.

The golden harvest of these first two days culminated in the Creative Form in Couples category, where Raúl García and Guillermo Cobo executed an impeccable routine that led them to win the gold medal, leaving the silver in the hands of the Turkish couple of Aybuke Silin and Yildiz Ridvan.

For his part, Raúl García demonstrated great status in the Creative Form with Senior Weapons modality, where he won the silver medal, lagging behind the Hungarian champion Mason Bumba and ahead of the German Maximilian Tratter, who won bronze.

Later, in the category of Musical Form with Senior Weapons, García secured bronze on a podium that was once again led by the Hungarian Bumba, with the German Maximiliano Tratter in second position.

Garcia competitive

In the field of combat, García showed his competitiveness placing ninth in the -74 kg division for senior points, while in the -79 kg division he ranked fifth.

The rematch for the Venezuelan athlete came in the Open Weight category, where the best from all divisions gathered.

Garcia secured bronze by sharing the podium with Guatemalan José Santiago, while Austria's Erik Zimmermann took the gold, followed by Austria's Noel Saltzburger.
