Colmenares: Antonio José de Sucre traced a before and after for human history

The second vice-president of the National Assembly (AN), Grecia Colmenares, highlighted the validity of the example of Antonio José de Sucre because of his legacy of struggle in independence processes in South America.

Antonio José de Sucre traced a before and after for human history,” Colmenares emphasized from the Historic Center of Petare, in the state of Miranda, together with representatives of the Municipal Council, on a day dedicated to the 231st anniversary of the birth of the Grand Marshal of Ayacucho.

Colmenares said that the current challenge is to transmit to the new generations the determination that characterized Sucre, urging young people to deepen their understanding of the historical processes that defined the course of the country.

“We must never stop studying our history to know where we came from and where we are going,” he added.
