The Government of Colombia formalized its definitive withdrawal from The Hague Group, a multinational alliance formed in 2025 to articulate diplomatic and legal actions in the face of military aggression and genocide perpetrated by the Israeli regime against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
According to information highlighted in Telesur, the Colombian foreign minister, Omar Bula, justified the decision by claiming that this multilateral platform supposedly sought to isolate the Zionist regime, marking a shift in the foreign policy of the New Granada nation that coincides with the recent dismissal of his intervention before the International Court of Justice.
The departure of Colombia is in addition to the previous desertions of Bolivia and Honduras, consolidating a strategic alignment with Tel Aviv that took place this Wednesday after the inauguration of the Colombian diplomatic headquarters in Jerusalem, in an event led by Bula himself together with the Israeli Foreign Minister, Gideon Sa'ar.
This diplomatic maneuver confirms the political shift of the Colombian Executive under the administration of Abelardo de la Espriella, prioritizing the normalization of relations with Zionist expansionism to the detriment of the historical solidarity of the peoples of the region with the Palestinian cause.
