This Tuesday, through the social network X, the Attorney General's Office of Colombia reported that it will formally accuse the former president and father of paramilitarism, Álvaro Uribe Vélez, for the crimes of bribery and procedural fraud in a case of alleged witness manipulation.
The Public Prosecutor's Office explained that, “based on the physical evidence and material evidence collected and studied by the office to which this file was distributed three months ago, a prosecutor delegated to the Supreme Court of Justice filed an indictment against former senator Álvaro Uribe Vélez, as an alleged determiner of the crimes of bribery of witnesses in criminal proceedings and procedural fraud.”
Likewise, the entity called for remembering that this case advanced after the denial of several requests for foreclosure “which were dismissed by the competent criminal judges of the circuit.”
