This Thursday, the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, through his social network X, responded to the extreme right and responsible for promoting violence, María Corina Machado about the sovereign decision for the election of the president in Venezuela.
“It is not a foreign government that should decide who is the president of Venezuela,” wrote the Colombian Head of State.
He also added that “it is up to Venezuelans to reach a political agreement to end violence in their country and to establish the transparent way in which a scrutiny can be carried out with guarantees for all.”
The reaction comes after María Machado criticized for not having obtained support from the OAS (to which Venezuela does not belong) on the accusations of “fraud” against the Venezuelan democratic process.
