Community organizations promote the active inclusion of condominiums in their territorial areas to develop projects that favor communities and guarantee priority attention.
During an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the spokeswoman for the Amalivaca Commune, Cristina García, called on the condominium boards to join the projects of the communes and communal councils.
“We live in the same territorial area; they cannot be isolated from the commune and the communal council because most condominiums are also part of an area of a commune and cannot be moved; quite the contrary, we call for them to also join in the issue of projects,” he said.
He explained that in the Amalivacan Commune there are 54 buildings, where each condominium also includes a communal council.
In that space, they prioritize the rehabilitation of elevators through articulated work; in this sense, he mentioned that the spokespersons take the proposals to the citizen's assemblies.
He also indicated that they legally accompany these communities to keep the documentation up to date.
“In the area of the commune, we made the call and we were surprised because it was a very quick call and they attended the call; there are some details that need to be accompanied on the subject of the condominium documentation that must be up to date, but hey, we are working on their documentation up to date,” said García.
For her part, spokeswoman Iskra Pérez, spokeswoman for the Cacique Tiuna Giant Commune, mentioned that they have a large number of buildings; it also has a neighborhood, it has housing developments that require a different approach. “They also allow us to understand that they need different treatments,” he said.
He also recalled that, after the recent seismic event, the community immediately activated the risk brigade, whose members had three weeks of training through a previous simulation.
He also mentioned that the survey was carried out with professionals from the commune, made up of structural engineers, firefighters, architects and technicians linked to hazardous construction. “We had a multidisciplinary team that is our risk brigade,” he said.
