President Delcy Rodríguez confirmed this Thursday the urgent need to implement a comprehensive reform in the Venezuelan Judicial System, while highlighting the approval of laws aimed at simplifying administrative and institutional procedures to streamline care for citizens.

“I said it in January: Venezuela needs one of the justice reforms that is justice for everyone without distinction, without criminalization of poverty, without criminalization to access it or commercialization for those who have to pay for justice, wherever they come from,” said the president during her participation in the 82nd Annual Assembly of FEDECÁMARAS.

“That reform will come. If I have committed myself to anything, it is to reform justice, and you know the reforms that we have been carrying out in the area of citizen security,” said the senior official about the commitment made by the Executive to transform the judicial apparatus.

“We want simpler, more streamlined procedures; we want a State that doesn't run over, that is at the service, makes it easier and doesn't go our lives taking out a procedure. That is what we want and we are making progress in technological platforms for this,” Rodríguez concluded, referring to the recently approved Procedures Act.
