During the National Enlistment, communication professionals reaffirmed their commitment to the defense of sovereignty.
The activity, led by the Sectorial Vice President of Communication and Culture, Freddy Ñáñez, brought together journalists, digital activists and community media representatives in a symbolic march from the National Pantheon to Plaza Bolívar.
Ñáñez emphasized that Venezuela is willing to demand respect for any attempt at aggression.
“We have prepared to defend ourselves, to make ourselves respected. In this new escalation of imperialism, Venezuela is ready to send a message of peace and unity to the world,” he said.
Ñáñez indicated that from the streets, social networks, radio stations and alternative spaces, social communicators assumed the role of spokespersons for a Homeland that defends its right to exist as a Republic.
“Today we have a great responsibility: to fight for the right to exist collectively as a country, as a society, as a living history,” Ñáñez said.
He emphasized the historical value of a people that for two centuries has earned its independence. “Venezuela is not looking for confrontation, it requires recognition.”
