In the Libertad Commune in Puerta Ayacucho in the state of Amazonas, as in the entire country, the meetings were held to nominate candidates by the rank and file of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) for the elections of May 25.

“This is an unprecedented process, the first time it has happened in the country. We culminated it as a celebration of democracy and as militants we have participated with joy and especially transparency,” said Wilmer Bravo, head of the community.

Pedro López, a member of the popular power, added that it was a highly participatory process in which the inhabitants of the area took part. “It is an action that reveals the integration of the People with the leadership of the country,” he said.
