Community pharmacies favored more than 8,500 Trujillanos in the first quarter of the year

More than 8,500 patients were treated by the Trujillo State Community Pharmacy network during the first quarter of 2024, according to a well-known national daily newspaper.
According to information, during that time, 261 thousand 424 units of drugs were delivered free of charge, to favor 5 thousand 389 acute patients with the allocation of 132 thousand 459 medications.
In this regard, it became known that the pharmacy network treated 1,679 chronic patients with the delivery of 78,738 medications; 421 pregnant women with 30,913 drugs, and 279 insulin-dependent patients received 5,743 insulins.
The beneficiaries were recruited through consultations carried out in the 14 Comprehensive Community Health Areas (ASIC), located in the municipalities of Boconó, Bolívar, Candelaria, Carache, Escuque, Juan Vicente Campo Elías, Miranda, Pampán, Rafael Rangel, San Rafael de Carvajal, Sucre, Trujillo, Urdaneta and Valera.
