With the launch of the Comprehensive Agroindustrial Plan 2026, the main sugar mills of Yaracuy, Sucre and Zulia report significant progress in milling and refining. This strategy projects robust production for domestic consumption and consolidates a technical recovery front under the guidelines of the Ministry of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, through the Venezuelan Sugar Corporation (CVA Sugar).
In the first instance, the joint effort between the National Executive and private companies allows the reactivation of the “Santa Clara” Power Station. This project restores dignity to the producer and adds value to their harvest. Currently, the coal industry has an operating muscle that processes 38,000 tons of brown sugar, with a maximum refining capacity of 600 tons per day.
In addition, it has an estimated production of 33,500 tons of refined sugar and 800 tons of molasses. Through the “Ana Gutierrez” Cimarrona Packaging Center, the item comes to the market in presentations of 900 g, 1 kg and 50 kg.
