The National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) added 150 megawatts (MW) to the National Electric System (SEN) after the reactivation of Unit No. 3 for the generation of the Thermocarabobo Thermoelectric Plant, located in the Juan José Mora municipality of the state of Carabobo.

The recovery of this unit was carried out by workers from the state power company as part of plans to strengthen the country's energy infrastructure. With its implementation, it seeks to increase the system's responsiveness and improve the stability of the service in the central region, reports Venezolana de Televisión.

The 150 MW provided by the unit will strengthen the electricity supply both for residential areas and for industrial and productive sectors, helping to ensure greater continuity of service.

The activation of the equipment was accompanied by an inspection of the facilities led by the sector vice president of Public Works and Services, Juan José Ramírez; the governor of Carabobo, Rafael Lacava; and the governor of Aragua, Joana Sánchez, together with authorities from CORPOELEC.

The reactivation of Unit No. 3 is part of the actions aimed at optimizing the National Electricity System and strengthening energy generation to meet the demand of the states in the center of the country
