CORPOELEC and the Government of Portuguesa install high-power autotransformer

In order to solve the poor electrical voltage profiles, the Portuguese state government installed a high-power autotransformer that will also promote the economic development of Guanarito and Papelón, municipalities that make up the state's livestock and dairy axis.

The equipment was installed in the southern area of Portuguesa and will definitively remedy the distribution problems in two municipalities that are fundamental to the regional economy.

Through a regional press release, Governor Primitivo Cedeño announced the arrival in Portuguesa of the autotransformer, whose installation “will benefit two key municipalities in production, improving the stability of the electrical system for our families and the productive sector.”

According to Danny Briceño, Territorial Manager of the National Electricity Corporation (CORPOELEC) in Portuguesa, the equipment will optimize energy distribution in Guanarito and Papelón, an axis that is severely affected by low voltage levels. “It will be possible to raise the tension profiles and put an end to that big problem that both municipalities have,” he said.
