CORPOELEC installs transformers in Guiana

During the month of January 2026, specialized equipment from the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) was deployed in the municipalities of the state of Bolívar, with the objective of strengthening the electricity grid with the installation of 41 new transformers.

The operational crews installed 18 transformers in the Caroní municipality, while 13 installations were executed in the Angostura del Orinoco municipality. In addition, equipment was replaced in the municipalities of Piar (03), Cedeño (02), Roscio (02), Sifontes (02), El Callao (01), details a press release from the country's state power company.

On the other hand, committed to the well-being of the inhabitants of Delta Amacuro, a transformer bank was adapted in the Casacoima municipality, in order to provide a comprehensive and timely response capacity in the Guayana region.
