As part of the comprehensive program for the recovery of works of art in public spaces in Caracas, the Together Everything Is Possible Corporation formally began restoration work on the emblematic work “Double Face Physicology: Homage to Don Andrés Bello” (1982), one of the most iconic pieces by the master of kineticism, Carlos Cruz-Diez, located in Plaza Venezuela.

After undergoing an exhaustive diagnostic study by a team of experts, the work enters a decisive phase of intervention, he reported on his website Venezuela News.

Members of the corporation indicated that this technical evaluation made it possible to establish the most appropriate action plan to restore its essence to such valuable cultural heritage of the nation.

This project is the result of meticulous planning that began in 2025, when a detailed survey of the modules, technical-scientific analysis of the materials and an in-depth examination of the supporting infrastructure were carried out to define the most appropriate intervention.

To guarantee absolute fidelity to the artist's legacy, the project is advised, supervised and accompanied by Atelier Cruz-Diez, through the Technical Group for Patrimonial Restoration (GTRP).

In this regard, it is essential to highlight that, in the preliminary stages of the project, in the year 2025, a detailed survey was carried out of each of the modules that make up the work.

A technical-scientific analysis of the materials used was also carried out and the general structural condition of the part and its supporting infrastructure were examined. Evaluations that aim to establish a comprehensive diagnosis that would allow us to define the most appropriate type of intervention for their recovery.

The final execution of the project is scheduled to take place during the second half of 2026. Throughout the process, citizens will be regularly informed of the progress of the work, as part of a commitment to transparency and joint financial responsibility.

Once the restoration of the Double Face Physichromy has been completed, the people of Caracas will be able to rediscover this emblematic work by the master Cruz-Diez, designed specifically for urban space.

Authorities of the corporation called on the community to value and preserve this piece, which belongs to the common cultural heritage, a symbol of Venezuelan kinetic art and of the artist's public vocation.
