Coup against drug trafficking in Falcón: More than 3,600 kilos of cocaine seized in a joint operation

In a joint operation, carried out in perfect Popular, Military and Police Fusion, the Venezuelan State succeeded in the seizure of 3,680 kilograms of alleged cocaine in waters of the Falcón state, coming from the Colombian Guajira, reaffirming its commitment to the frontal fight against drug trafficking.
The information was provided in an official statement issued by the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP).
“This operation represents a new definite blow against drug trafficking mafias that intend to use our territory as a crime route. Venezuela stands firm, with loyalty and patriotic commitment, in defense of its sovereignty,” said the Sectorial Vice President for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón.
The action was carried out by a joint commission composed of members of the Strategic Operations Group (GOES), the Bolivarian National Police Corps (CPNB) and the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), who managed to intercept a Go Fast type boat.
During the procedure, four people were arrested, allegedly linked to a criminal structure dedicated to the trafficking of illegal substances from the Colombian Guajira.
In addition, during the procedure, several elements of criminal interest were seized, including a Go Fast-type boat equipped with four high-power outboard motors, a satellite phone, two mobile phones, two portable satellite radios and a global positioning system (GPS), allegedly used to facilitate navigation and communication in illegal activities.
The case was brought to the order of the Public Prosecutor's Office (MP), with competence in the matter, to continue with the corresponding investigations.
This operation is in addition to the sustained efforts of the Bolivarian Government to eradicate drug trafficking in the country, through coordinated intelligence, investigation and territorial deployment actions, which have resulted in the seizure of more than 60 tons of drugs in the first eight months of the year 2025.
