Early this Saturday morning, the first advance with 44 athletes and seven medalists from the Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games landed at Simon Bolivar International Airport in Maiquetía.

This delegation was received by the Deputy Minister of Training and Innovation in Physical Activity and Sports, Karla Luna, together with the Director of High Performance, Francisco Suárez, who warmly welcomed these athletes who fought in this sporting event.

“There are 7 medals coming today out of the 13 we already have, one gold, one silver and the others bronze, we are very proud and soon we will receive the second advance that starts from Asunción,” said the sports director.

Golden Claw

The Pan-American champion Victoria Alejandra Guerrero arrived wearing the national flag indicating that it was not an easy path but that the satisfaction of having the gold hanging motivates her to continue fighting with a lot of claw.

“It's a new experience that I added, I prepared a lot to get this gold, I never imagined it far away, but I was thinking about getting on the platform decisively and it worked for me,” said the world youth champion.

Aquatic power

For his part, the swimmer Manuel Díaz won a silver medal by demonstrating his power in the water.

“These are my first Pan American games and I am very happy with the result obtained because this experience was super enriching so we will come back for more, and I hope to continue representing my country on many stages,” said the Venezuelan.

On this same flight, athletes from disciplines such as MTB cycling, fencing, judo, badminton, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline, swimming, skating, skateboarding, gun shooting, track cycling and rowing returned.
