Creole wrestling delegation is ready to participate in the Pan-American Championship for Seniors in Mexico

The national wrestling team, made up of 18 athletes, will meet in a new edition of the Pan American Championship for Seniors that will take place from this Friday to Sunday, May 11 in the city of Monterrey, Mexico.

The joust will serve as a starting point for the fighters who will begin the Olympic cycle for Los Angeles 2028 at the upcoming Bolivarian Games to be held in Ayacucho, Peru , in the month of November.

Cited by a press release from the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports, José Díaz, captain of the national wrestling team, said that “everything is ready to face a new Olympic cycle. We feel committed to the country to continue giving them the results that Venezuela expects from us and that is why we are preparing to take on the adult Pan American championship.”
