Venezuelan defender José Luis Marrufo will become part of Ecuador's Maracá, after the Venezuelan sports justice system gave him freedom of action. The Venezuelan is waiting for his work visa, to be able to travel to that country and sign for two years.

On January 1st, the soccer player for Deportivo Táchira asked the Maurinegra board to disassociate himself from the team for the 2024 Venezuelan football season. This was done by the player in the middle of the winter transfer market with the intention of looking for a new organization.

At the time, Marrufo had aroused the interest of Ecuador's Serie A Macará. However, Táchira would have denied his departure and this led to the decision to submit his letter of termination. The 27-year-old Venezuelan can develop both as a midfielder and on the left side. He has spent his entire career in his country with visits to Caracas, Deportivo Lara, Mineros, Estudiantes.
