This Wednesday, March 5, the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, thanked the presidents of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel and of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Luis Arce, for their tributes to Commander Hugo Chávez 12 years after his planting.

On his Telegram account, Gil stated that “on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, we extend warm greetings to the Cuban people and to President Miguel Díaz-Canel on the occasion of his emotional tribute to Commander Hugo Chávez.”

“Together we remember their legacy of unity, inclusion and their tireless fight for a fairer and better world for all,” he said.

President Díaz-Canel wrote on his social network that “12 years after his painful departure, Chávez lives in the heart of his people and of all those who believe that a better world is possible.”

Also, in another message, Gil said: “We thank Bolivia for remembering and honoring its memory, as well as for its support for the process of change that Chávez promoted so much. Together, we will continue his legacy in the search for a united and sovereign Latin America.”

President Arce, in his publication, stated that Chávez “in Bolivia supported the process of change that the people opened with their struggle” and highlighted the ideals of Commander Chávez.
