The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, reiterated his country's repudiation of the aggressions and naval blockade of the United States (US) in the Caribbean Sea against Venezuela, reiterating that this is a violation of international law and freedom of trade.

The Cuban president denounced that the Donald Trump administration “intends to usurp Venezuelan resources” through an extraordinary and costly blockade.

“We strongly condemn these actions and reaffirm the full support and solidarity of # Cuba for the Bolivarian and Chavista Revolution, its President Nicolás Maduro and the Popular, Military and Police Fusion,” Díaz-Canel wrote in his X account.

The Venezuelan Government rejected the threats of the republican ruler to appropriate Venezuelan resources, and will proceed in strict accordance with the UN Charter to fully exercise its freedom, jurisdiction and sovereignty.
