Cuban President Díaz-Canel ratified commitment to unity in meeting with Secretary of ALBA-TCP

The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, reported this Tuesday, July 22, about a meeting held with the Executive Secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America — Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), Rander Peña.
Díaz-Canel announced the meeting through his official Telegram channel. Both authorities addressed key issues related to regional challenges and the need to strengthen ties between member countries of ALBA-TCP.
In his publication, the Cuban president emphasized that the defense of unity and respect for the self-determination of Peoples are strategic priorities of the regional bloc, especially in a context marked by increased aggressions by imperialist forces and attempts to fracture Latin American integration.
For his part, Peña stated that the defense of unity and respect for the self-determination of peoples are strategic priorities of ALBA and its members, in a context of intensified attacks by imperialism and attempts to divide us.
This meeting represents a new step in strengthening the mechanism for political consultation and regional cooperation, focused on promoting integral development with social justice for the nations that make up ALBA.
