CVM Comprehensive Medical Day reaches more than 1,400 people in the mining community

The Ministry of Popular Power for Ecological Mining Development and Basic Industries, through the Venezuelan Mining Corporation (CVM), held a successful Comprehensive Medical Day in the New Jerusalem sector, El Callao municipality, in order to provide social protection and welfare to more than 1,470 people in the mining community.

This initiative is part of the territorial approach programs that seek to guarantee the right to health and raise the quality of life of mining populations.

During the operation, attendees received care in a wide range of medical specialties, including general and internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, psychology and nutrition. An immunization day was also held for children and adults against Toxoid, Yellow Fever, Measles, Rubella, Mumps, Pentavalent and Polio, orally and intramuscularly.

In addition, medicines were delivered to those who needed it, and technical and social assistance was provided such as crutches, anti-decubitus mattresses, subdermal implants, double beds, baskets and bathtubs.

The day also included recreational activities for boys and girls, giving the little ones the opportunity to enjoy a pleasant time.
