The young Venezuelan striker David “La Joya” Martínez came off the substitute bench to score a goal in the fall of Los Angeles FC 5-2 to Seattle Sounders, on the third day of the Western Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS).
Martínez entered the 64th minute and 90'+2, with a spectacular move he discounted a bit in favor of his team.
In the middle of the court, the Venezuelan recovered the ball and took it to the right, starting a race where he was chased by up to 5 players, however he ended up hooking 2 and finished with his left handed sending the ball to the back of the net.
This is Martinez's first goal this season in the U.S. league, in 3 games played, only one as a starter.
With this defeat, the Venezuelan club lost its undefeated victory and the leadership of the Western Conference, with 6 points, is in fifth place.
