The
Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, rejected
this Monday the criminal actions against Venezuelan migrants in the
United States (USA), promoted by the national extreme right.
“The country is
seeing what is happening with Venezuelan migrants. When a migrant
crossed our border, he was an economic migrant seeking better
prospects and life horizons in the face of what caused the criminal blockade in our country.
He is an economic migrant, they are not terrorists, they are not
criminals, they are simply victims of the economic war against
Venezuela,” he said during the inauguration of the E xpo Metal 2025.
He stressed that this economic
war was “constantly cried out for by extremist sectors.
Where is Mrs. (María Corina) Machado's face every time
she asks for sanctions and causes suffering to our migrants and who now applauds
when the United States government considers our migrants
to be terrorists and criminals? Where are those who have called for this xenophobic
persecution and harassment against our migrants standing up?” , he questioned.
From
Bolívar state, Rodríguez indicated that what you see “is the face of the good people of
Venezuela, of the people who believe in Venezuela, of the people who build, of the
people who persevere, who produce, who have a vision for the future for our
country. Those are the real faces, not that of cowards, not of those who ask for
suffering against the Venezuelan people, who ask for economic blockade, persecution of our migrants.”
In this regard,
he stressed that President Nicolás Maduro's response “is open arms for
our compatriots, our sisters, our brothers to return to
Venezuela”, and to rescue those who have been kidnapped “in that shameful
episode in El Salvador, where a kind of
Nazi concentration camp has been created to mistreat Venezuelan migrants and migrants.”
“I know that
President Maduro has not rested the night looking for ways (...) all the
efforts of the Venezuelan State are aimed at receiving and rescuing
those who have been kidnapped by this kind of Nazi mafia and who have created these concentration
camps to violate their human rights and who consider human
life more terrible than a commodity that can be put a price on it and do
business based on the life of a human being,” he criticized.
