Delcy Rodríguez: More than 6 million 247 thousand people mobilized during carnival

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, during the Balance of Happy and Safe Carnivals 2025, highlighted the work done by the “men and women in uniform of the Public Security System”.

From Simón Bolívar Park in La Carlota, the vice-president reiterated that, for the festivities of King Momo, “190 thousand 495 troops were deployed throughout the country to ensure that these carnivals were happy and safe carnivals (...) We are honored to have guaranteed tranquility and that they were safe carnivals”.

Rodríguez said that, with regard to the success of this season, Venezuela can “be a great tourist power, we are called responsibly (...), the tourist engine guarantees not only enjoyment, but also promotes economic activity.”

Compared to 2024, the vice-president noted that in 2025 there was a variation of 37.77%, representing 6 million 247 thousand 933 people mobilized.

He also rejected the behavior of some extremist right-wing representatives who want the People not to celebrate traditional holidays, such as Christmas and carnival, “our miraculous secret lies in joy and in the fact that we are a happy people over any difficulty”.
