The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, rejected this Saturday the support of “third-ranking bureaucrats” of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) for the guerrilla actions of the government of Guyana and Exxon Mobil.

Through his Telegram channel, Rodríguez pointed out that these characters act “behind the backs of Heads of Government of this organization”, to give “the chorus to the Zelenski of the Caribbean, Irfaan Ali (president of Guyana)”, in addition to endorsing the “plan of the US Southern Command to attack Venezuela, while disqualifying themselves from serving as facilitators in this territorial controversy”.

The senior official pointed out that “Caribbean countries are called by history to play a constructive role in this artificially created territorial dispossession by ancient empires. They are in time to prevent our region, one of the few peace zones in the world, from entering into a conflict to legitimate the energy voracity of Exxon Mobil,” he emphasized.

Finally, he stressed that “Venezuela will never give up its rights to the Essequibo and will assert all legal and diplomatic actions in its defense.”
