The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted the call of the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, to the National Enlistment as a defense against attacks on the country's sovereignty.

“Every Venezuelan and every Venezuelan must know what to do in the face of an imminent aggression. Here are the people of Bolívar, firm, standing, attentive to instructions to defend our homeland, our flag and the right to the future in freedom,” he said from the parish of El Valle.

Ródriguez denounced the attempt of the U.S. government to impose a false narrative against Venezuela about its fight against drug trafficking and thus justify military intervention.

“Venezuela is not a factor in the production or cultivation of drugs. What is intended (the United States) is to attack a country that represents Bolivarian internationalism and the largest energy reserve on the planet,” he said.

The Vice President stressed that the Venezuelan people are still prepared and actively resisting to guarantee the political, economic and social stability of the country.
