The Delegation of Venezuelan male tennis players won the title in the South American Championship of Ecuador in the 14-year category.

Criollos Ignacio Mejías, Andrés Sánchez and Antonie Yamín won the gold after winning the final against Peru with 2-0.

Those led by Román Recarte held the lead in the group stage undefeated.

For their part, the women's delegation made up of Stephanie Pumar, Renatta Morillo and Clara Márquez, won the bronze medal after competing for third place on the podium against their counterpart from Peru 2-0.

Both teams achieved their place in the world championship of the discipline to be held in Prostejov, Czechia, in which the 16 best teams on the planet will face each other, which will take place from August 4 to 9 of this year.

For the tenth time, a Venezuelan men's team will compete in the World Cup of the International Tennis Federation. Their last participation dates back to 2015, while women's rackets had six years of absence from the top event in junior tennis.
