Deputies of the National Assembly (AN) and deans of the country's legal and political science schools held, this Friday, a meeting to discuss different reforms to our legal system in order to adapt it to the needs of our country.
This was reported by the deputy to the AN, Nicolás Maduro Guerra, who indicated that among the points discussed is the development of proposals aimed at developing reforms to the civil, civil, criminal and criminal procedure codes, since the existing ones are “ambiguous and pre-constitutional”.
*Beyond reforming the Criminal Code and Criminal Procedure, we must move forward with a new code that adapts to the Venezuelan reality, to the global reality. In addition, we must make progress not only in reforms, but so that the law is fully applied in Venezuela, within the scope of humanism and what is established by the Constitution,” he said.
In the same way, the parliamentarian stressed that within the country there is a great consensus in terms of moving towards forgiveness and reconciliation to ensure that Venezuela is on the path of development, to be a powerful nation.
In this regard, he stressed that after the approval of the Amnesty Law proposed by the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, there can be no violence, political criminalization, “people who claim to call themselves Venezuelans and support invasions, blockades against the country.”
On the other hand, he pointed out that some of the deans who had the right to speak criticized the military aggression that our country suffered on December 3, however, he criticized that some of the professors are silent in the face of this deplorable fact.
