This Thursday, May 07, the deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Jesús Fanía, assured that the Bolivarian Government remains committed to restoring wages as the central factor in the remuneration of Venezuelan workers in the near future.

During an interview on the Primera Página program, broadcast by Globovision, he pointed out that this transition depends directly on the evolution of the country's economic conditions, specifically on production and the availability of income.

“Workers can be absolutely sure that salaries will guide and base their compensation in the near future,” he emphasized.

He also recalled that, historically, the National Government has rejected the deregulation of the labor market and stated that, in the past, Commander Hugo Chávez stopped wage bonus processes, considering that they facilitated the mass dismissal of workers.

“We had the firm vision, and we still maintain it, of consolidating a labor market characterized by two factors: stability at work and the highest possible remuneration,” he said.

Referring to the deadlines for the application of these wage improvements, the deputy emphasized that the current situation responds to an “external geopolitical factor” and not to the internal logic of the Venezuelan economy or to domestic policy decisions.

Faria described as illegal the measures applied by the United States government, pointing out that international laws prohibit the imposition of punishments on actors in the world economy who attempt to establish ties with Venezuela.

He also questioned the current scheme of authorizations or licenses that has replaced some direct sanctions, describing it as a practice derived from a “neocolonial vision”.

Faced with this scenario, he indicated that the strategy of the Bolivarian Government focuses on the search for a national consensus as part of the political and economic battle that the nation is going through.
