The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, stated that the first meeting of the World Anti-Fascist Parliamentary Forum, “has laid the foundations for strengthening international cooperation against fascism. Every delegate will be key to this new network.”

“We are pleased to announce the creation of a global anti-fascist network, which will be nourished by the delegates of this historic event,” he announced during the closing ceremony of the aforementioned Forum, chaired by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

It also reported the formation of a Parliamentary Conservatory of countries attacked by criminal action, by criminal sanctions, by the hegemonic factors of imperialism.

The president of the AN said that this meeting was used to confirm the Parliamentary Network of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA), for sovereignty and peace.

In his speech, he detailed part of the achievements that were achieved during the Forum and reported that “important commitments have been made in the working groups. The fight continues.”

In this regard, he specified that “we have formed seven working groups, necessary to combat and legislate from our parliament this scourge that threatens humanity”.

Rodríguez said that “we thank all the parliamentarians present. This meeting was a work process, it didn't stop in rhetoric.”
