National Assembly deputy Nicolás Maduro Guerra said that pastors and religious leaders from the country's four cardinal points met in an unprecedented way “to pray for the future of Venezuela and peace.”

From the boardwalk of the Historic Quarter of Puerto Cabello, in the state of Carabobo, he stated that “this group of religious people are gathered to pray for rebirth and for God to pour out his blessings on Venezuela.” He stressed that “he received messages from pastors who are very grateful, happy and excited for the unprecedented meeting in the history of the country, which is nothing more than a meeting to ask for blessings from Christ, on the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro.”

For his part, Apostle Dan Suárez of the Pastoral Government Council took the floor to thank the policies of care for evangelical Christian devotees in the country. “Tonight, churches from all over the country are represented, there are 17,000 pastors and leaders of evangelical Christian churches in Venezuela, and we are praying for you,” he said.

The spokesperson made a series of requests to the Head of State aimed at the consolidation and expansion of the Christian church in the territory.
