The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Europe and North America, Oliver Blanco, held a meeting in Bern this Thursday with the Secretary of State of the Swiss Confederation, Alexandre Fasel, and the Deputy Secretary, François Voeffray Peyro.

The Venezuelan diplomat reported on his social networks that he is visiting Switzerland to develop a work agenda focused on strengthening economic exchange and cooperation between the two countries.

During the conversation, the authorities focused the agenda on issues of cooperation in trade, justice, development and bilateral investments.

“It's a pleasure to welcome Deputy Minister Oliver Blanco to Berne for political and economic consultation. We talk about economic recovery, the reforms that have been carried out and those that remain to be done, and support for dialogue processes and democratic coexistence,” said Undersecretary Voeffray Peyro in a publication on the X network.

Last February, in the framework of the 61st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC), in Geneva, the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, met with the head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, Ignazio Cassis, to review diplomatic and bilateral relations.

At the meeting, both diplomats shared impressions on issues of international geopolitics, where Venezuela advocates the construction of a pluricentric and multipolar world, in which respect for the self-determination of peoples and other principles contained in the UN Charter prevails.
