Deputy Ángel Rodríguez, president of the Standing Committee on Energy and Petroleum of the National Assembly, assured that despite threats and sanctions, there are a number of investors who are willing to participate in the uprising of Venezuelan oil production.

“The global energy market is very disturbed by armed conflicts and by the sanctions imposed on oil countries, energy needs are going to continue to grow,” said Rodríguez, during his participation, in the program Café en la Mañana, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión.

Rodríguez highlighted that there are countries that are looking for ways to negotiate in the energy area with Venezuela, to enter into a joint venture, “as private sectors have been included in the newly established Empresa Mixta Petrolera Roraima, S.A.”

In this regard, he affirmed that Venezuela is willing to agree, within the framework of its laws, a type of negotiation that allows production to grow, “so that countries that need energy supply can meet them.”

“The Venezuelan people have important guarantees that the profit from the crude oil we sell is aimed at meeting their needs. The nation's budget has been directed up to 83% to social, health, education and food, since the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez to the presidency and continued by President Nicolás Maduro,” he said.

The deputy added that important allies such as India, China, Russia, and others have been involved to circumvent the sanctions.
