Ahead of the V International Meeting of Venezuelan Specialty Coffee (EICEV) 2026, the Minister for Productive Agriculture and Lands, GJ. Vladímir Padrino López, led a working meeting with representatives of the coffee sector this Monday.

The head of the agricultural portfolio stated that this new edition of the event promises to be the best, because it will allow us to exchange experiences, knowledge and innovation in this sector, which is part of our Venezuelanism. He added that, currently, work is being done together with the National Assembly on the Coffee Act, to strengthen the sector.

This event will take place from July 10 to 12 at Simon Bolivar Park in La Carlota. This important sectoral event is consolidated as a strategic space for the exchange of knowledge, genetics and export experiences, with the participation of international tasters and world-renowned roasters. The central objective is to continue positioning coffee, a sector deeply rooted in national identity, as a competitive reference for Venezuelan production in global markets.

In parallel with the development of this meeting, the National Government is working together with the National Assembly (AN) to design a legal framework aimed at strengthening both the coffee and cocoa industries, two historic engines that represented the bulk of the country's export revenues at the beginning of the last century. With this legislative initiative and the impetus of EICEV 2026, authorities and productive sectors seek to revitalize the economic dynamism of these strategic crops. The invitation is open to all the Venezuelan people and to the actors of the agro-productive chain to join a day that promises to strengthen the living strength of the countryside and promote the success of national coffee cultivation.
