In the state of Apure, the devout people celebrate a mass in honor of the Nazarene of Achaguas, as part of the religious tradition on Holy Wednesday in the Llanera region.
Governor Wilmer Rodríguez, together with his family and the people, celebrated the liturgy and invited them to enjoy all the activities scheduled for this holiday.
“The important thing to highlight, like every year, are the parishioners who come and visit us to pay tribute once again to our patron saint, such as the Nazarene of Achaguas,” the regional president testified to the cameras of Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
The VTV correspondent captured the images of the devotees, who arrived on foot, by bicycle and in various media, to accompany this mass with fervor and faith in the future.
“Here we are welcoming everyone with affection, with love, with that Christ on his way to Calvary who always reminds us of how humble and how holy we must be, and where we must walk to help the humble, to love our neighbor, always”, said the people of Achagüense in this traditional ceremony.
It was reported that the image of the Nazarene will travel in procession through the streets of the town of Apurea starting at six in the afternoon.
