The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, announced this Saturday that a false positive of the Venezuelan extreme right against the Bolivarian Navy was dismantled.
During a press conference on the progress of Operation Lightning of Catatumbo in the state of Zulia, Cabello reported that a boat was seized with which they intended to link the military corps to drug trafficking.
“We found the shipyards where they were doing this and we found something very curious (...) a boat where they pretend to be part of the Navy. Because that's where the operation against Venezuela comes from. This is a boat that is not part of the Navy, it's a false positive,” he reported.
The also Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace explained that “they made a boat, they put a seal around that says' Coast Guard ', a badge that is not that of the Navy, but that from afar you see it and say, 'it's the Venezuelan Navy'”.
He stressed that the plan against Venezuela “was for a boat of this type, of that gang, to go out to the Caribbean, to be captured and the world would have the news they expected against Venezuela. What was the news? 'Venezuelan Navy linked to drug trafficking', they continued to arm against Venezuela their file that they try to set up with false positives,” he criticized.
Cabello pointed out that this boat was captured and stressed that “it has never been an organic part of our Bolivarian National Armed Forces. It's their design to hurt Venezuela.”
