The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, during the press conference of the red awning, assured that migrating is not a crime, sanctioning is.
Cabello's assertion is due to the illegal decision of the United States Government to send Venezuelans to El Salvador to be imprisoned.
In that regard, he specified that “this is a problem for all Venezuelans, for all Venezuelan women (...). The Venezuelan State, in a total, integral and absolute way, joins the defense of our migrants, we join the defense of our migrants.”
The leader of the red awning took the opportunity to invite the People to participate this Wednesday in a big march “to shout to the world that Venezuelans are being stigmatized, singled out and persecuted in the world with Nazi and fascist practices promoted by Venezuelan politicians and carried out by the imperialist government of the United States.”
Specifically, he said that the mobilization will begin in Plaza Morelos, up to the corner of San Francisco, from one o'clock in the afternoon.
“We demand that they respect our migrants, that what is established in the International Organization for Migrants of the United Nations (UN) be complied with (...) migrating is not a crime, sanctioning is,” he said.
